Making A Purchase Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

We accept credit card payment. If you are shopping from North America or anywhere else, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to US Dollars or your own currency.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Switch and Solo cards.

Alternatively UK Cheques and Postal Orders may be sent to us.

We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship.

When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Shipping And Handling Postage will be added automatically when applicable. Our standard charge is £3.95 per order for UK residents. We usually use First Class Post but on heavier parcels we may send using Standard Parcel Service.
"Free Shipping" items will be sent using 2nd class Royal Mail service.

Overseas shipping will be calculated automatically during checkout. Please note that there is a 2kg limit per order on overseas shipping.

All orders will require a signature on receipt.

Delivery Schedule We will try our best to send orders out withing 48 hours of receiving the order, however we are a small, family-run business and occasionally we may not manage to achieve this. We usually use First Class post and Second Clas Post for "Free Delivery" items. However some orders may be sent by Standard Parcel Service.

Back Orders We strive to maintain all our items in stock (unlike some stores) However, if your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

Tax Charges Our VAT registration number is 868 2248 91.

VAT is charged at 17.5% unless the product has Zero tax rating.

Credit Card Security All credit and debit card transactions are carried out by either HSBC Secure ePayments or Paypal who are both dedicated 3rd party payment processing service with 128bit SSL encryption for ultimate security.

PLEASE CHOOSE PAYMENT METHOD AT CHECKOUT.

Guarantee All electrical items (Monitors, Night Lights etc.) carry a full 12 months manufacturers warranty. Just return defective items to us and we will replace the items.

Privacy Policy Baby Sleep Shop do not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.

Faulty good will be replaced or the cost refunded as requested.

Because you are buying the Goods by mail order, you may have a right of cancellation. If you do, (and only if you do), these are the terms which apply:

You must tell us you wish to cancel within 7 days of your receipt of the Goods;

The Goods must be returned to us within 21 days of your telling us you wish to cancel, with both goods and all packaging in their original condition; securely wrapped; including our delivery slip; at your risk and cost.

After we have received the Goods, we will credit your credit or debit card with the full purchase price of the goods returned no later than 30 days from the date of receipt;

If you do not return the Goods to us, you are still liable to us for the cost.

We are under no obligation to collect or recover Goods from you, but if we do, our costs will be payable by you.

Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive
WEEE Regulations:

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive is now UK law. The legislation aims to make producers pay for the collection, treatment and recovery of waste electrical equipment. The regulations also mean that suppliers of equipment like high street shops and internet retailers must allow consumers to return their waste equipment free of charge.

The amount of WEEE we throw away is increasing by around 5% each year, making it the fastest growing waste stream in the UK.

" Much of the UK's WEEE ends up in landfill, where the lead and other toxins it contains can cause soil and water contamination. This can have a harmful effect on natural habitat, wildlife and also human health.

" Many electrical items that we throw away can be repaired or recycled. Recycling items helps to save our natural finite resources and also reduces the environmental and health risks associated with sending electrical goods to landfill.

Distributors of new Electric and Electronic Equipment (EEE) have a part to play in reducing the amount of WEEE going into landfill sites.

Baby Sleep Shop is obliged under these regulations to offer our customers free take-back of their WEEE on a like-for-like basis when they buy a new Electrical or Electronic product from us.

For example, if a customer bought a new nightlight from us we would accept their old nightlight and prevent it going into a landfill site by disposing of it safely. Customers must return their WEEE item to us within 28 days of purchasing their new item.

To return it to us then contact us using our online contact form, together with your order number and type of item you want to return, we will then send you a return mail-sack to return your item to us as part of our store take-back scheme at no cost to you.

Under the WEEE Regulations, all new electrical goods should now be marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol shown below:

Goods are marked with this symbol to show that they were produced after 13th August 2005, and should be disposed of separately from normal household waste so that they can be recycled.
